let's talk

After Launch

Webflow maintenance is mostly not maintenance. There are no plugins to update, no server to patch and no backups to configure; the platform handles all of that.

What a Webflow site still needs after launch is change: new pages, CMS updates, fixes, and the occasional speed and SEO check.

What that work includes, how it is usually priced, and when you need no ongoing support at all.

Webflow website maintenance: what it actually includes

New pages and sections. Landing pages for campaigns, new service pages, a pricing change. This is the bulk of post-launch work on most marketing sites.

CMS updates and structure. Adding a field to a collection, a new filter, a new content type. Small changes that are easy to get wrong without knowing how the site was built.

Fixes and checks. A form that stopped routing, an integration that changed, a layout that broke on a new phone, and a periodic look at speed, broken links and search console errors.

What it does not include: security patches, plugin updates and server work. Those are the line items that make WordPress upkeep expensive, and on Webflow the hosting plan covers them.

How Webflow support is usually priced

Hourly, for occasional work. Best when changes come in bursts a few times a year.

A monthly retainer, for teams that ship pages every month. A fixed number of hours, a predictable bill and someone who already knows the site.

Per request, for one-off jobs such as a new landing page or a redesign of one section, quoted before the work starts.

We offer all three after launch, and you know the price before any work begins.

When you need no support at all

When the site was built for your team to edit. If the CMS is planned well and the team had a walkthrough at handover, most text, images and new CMS items need no developer.

That is the test of a good Webflow build: how much you can change without calling anyone. Support should cover new structure and new ideas, not routine edits.

A CMS the team runs itself

GivTrade runs an English and Arabic Webflow site with four asset blogs on the Webflow CMS.

The structure was planned so the team publishes articles in both languages without a developer. Support is for new sections and features, not for every post.

Questions we get asked

Does a Webflow website need maintenance?

Not in the technical sense: Webflow handles hosting, security, SSL and backups. What sites need after launch is change, such as new pages, CMS updates, fixes and occasional speed and SEO checks.

How much does Webflow maintenance cost?

It depends on how often the site changes. Occasional work is usually billed hourly, monthly page updates on a retainer, and one-off jobs as a fixed quote. The Webflow hosting plan itself is a separate subscription.

Can I update my Webflow site myself?

Yes, if it was built for it. With a well-planned CMS and the Webflow Editor, your team can change text, images and CMS items without a developer.

Is Webflow cheaper to maintain than WordPress?

Usually, because there are no plugins, themes or servers to update and secure. The cost that remains is for new pages and changes, which exists on any platform.
